The Island of Mull is outstanding for its natural environment and remarkable range of wildlife. Our Wildlife Explorer cruise gives guests the chance experience this; a half day tour with an award-winning wildlife expert introduces you to the island’s natural heritage, searching for wildlife species such as White-tailed Eagle, Golden Eagle, Otter, Hen Harrier, Red Deer, Seals and more. Guests will also visit the Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust’s headquarters in Tobermory to learn about their conservation work, and hear about the variety of cetaceans in local waters. Over 20 species of whale, dolphin and porpoise have been recorded in Scotland. A major highlight on the April, May and June cruises is the proximity of nesting puffins and other seabirds on the offshore islands while traditionally July and August is the best time to spot basking sharks and whales. In late September and October you may hear the stags roar as rutting season gets underway.
