The addition of the Glen Shiel to our fleet has allowed us to offer new cruises for our guests in 2019. We are particularly excited about our - North West Coast Wilderness Cruise which extends up to the beautiful coastline of Wester Ross. Peppered with pretty coastal villages like Applecross, Badachro, Gairloch and Poolewe and strips of white sandy beaches linking stunning landscapes, we are looking forward to being able to introduce our guests to some of the most remote and beautiful scenery in this part of Scotland.
We have created this new 10-night itinerary for the Glen Shiel that will allow us to explore up as far as the archipelago of the Summer Isles in the stunning waters of Loch Broom we will be able to introduce guests to Loch Ewe with its famous gardens as well as the chance to explore Loch Torridon.
This cruise is not confined to the coastline of the mainland but also allows the opportunity to sail out to the Shiants, a small group of islands a few miles off the east coast of Lewis, which are one of the most important breeding colonies for seabirds in Europe. Around 10 per cent of UK puffins breed here each year not to mention the razorbills, manx shearwater and storm petrels. Seabirds are not the only wildlife to be spotted there are always opportunities to see marine wildlife, porpoises and dolphins even the occasional orca can be seen in these waters.
