April 2019 Cruising Highlights

April has been a spectacular month this year and our guests have experienced some wonderful highlights. Guests were piped aboard our ships for the first cruise of the season and the piper continued to play as the Glen Massan, Glen Tarsan and Glen Etive left the Holy Loch to cruise down the Clyde to their first anchorage.  That evening was spent at anchor in Loch Riddon before cruising through the Kyles of Bute and down Kilbrannan Sound.  There was an over night stay in Campbeltown Loch and guests had the opportunity to go ashore and visit Springbank Distillery.   The next day was a glorious sunny day and the boats rounded the… Read More

Harris Tweed adds a touch of Outer Hebridean luxury to cabins

This year as part of our annual maintenance and upgrading programme we have installed central heating in the cabins on board Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan which will make cruising, particularly during the first and last weeks of the season, more comfortable.    This year we also introduced new cushions and throws in the cabins on the Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan.  We opted for Harris Tweed products which have a tradition and heritage which reflects our own ethos. 'Mastering the Mull'

Our final cruise of the season for all vessels this year departed Oban on Saturday 20th October and arrived in the Holy Loch on Friday 26th October. The 'Isles of the Clyde and the Southern Hebrides' can be a cruise for the more adventurous as it features a rounding of the 'Mull of Kintyre', which depending on the weather can be very lively.  This year would go down as one of the more adventurous roundings of the Mull.  Guests were presented with certificates to confirm that they had indeed 'Mastered the Mull'.
