We are delighted to have received the Award for Rural Hospitality in the Scottish Rural Awards 2020.   Early in 2020 we were notified that we had been nominated by a previous guest and that we had made it through to the finalists of the award.  We discovered that we were up against some very prestigious names so did not hold out much hope of winning, it was an honour to have reached the final shortlist.

The award ceremony was due to take place in Glasgow in April 2020 however, Covid came along and everything was postponed until November 2020.   Unfortunately, restrictions in place in November meant that the award ceremony was cancelled, so we were absolutely delighted to receive an email telling us that we had won the Rural Hospitality Award.   Reality sunk in properly when we received the actual trophy.

We are very grateful to the guest who took the time to nominate us for this award.  Thanks also to the award sponsor Scottish Field magazine and to all those who were part of the judging panel for The Scottish Rural Awards 2020.    

The award is recognition that 'hospitality' really is at the heart of all that we do here at The Majestic Line.  The biggest thanks of all must go to our fantastic crew members who do such a wonderful job ensuring that every guest is treated like an individual.

We are all looking forward to the day that we can celebrate this prestigious award properly.
