Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal - Glen Massan
Yvonne Christine Chantler
This was my second trip on the Glen Massan, this time cruising Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal. The scenery was beautiful and it was a privilege to see the opening of the lock gates at each stage of the Canal and experience the amazing feat of engineering which is Neptune's staircase. The boat moored at some lovely spots with beautiful scenery. Nothing beats being on the Glen Massan surrounded by wonderful views in the Scottish highlands whilst eating a delicious lunch prepared by Jimmy the chef. The crew were wonderful and the food amazing - Dougie the captain, Zara the bosun, Jimmy the chef and Nick the engineer bent over backwards to ensure we enjoyed our trip and treated us all like kings and queens. Although the weather hasn't always been great it hasn't spoilt the adventure of each of my trips and I loved each one. I hope my next trip will be to Skye.
